Against a deep black background, a ghostly white bat emerges its body pierced with the poisonous beauty of deadly nightshade. Belladonna (Atropa bella-donna) carries an ancient reputation for both danger and enchantment, its berries and flowers are a flutter with bluish hued moths. 

Lauren Marx brings together the nocturnal, the poisonous, and the ephemeral in this haunting composition. It's a small ecosystem suspended somewhere between natural history and folklore. The flight of a nocturnal creature among the delicate belladonna create a world that feels both beautiful and quietly ominous.

Each high-quality lithograph print measures 14 inches wide by 17.75 inches tall, including a 1 inch white border around the image. Printed locally in St. Louis from the original watercolor artwork, this limited lithograph is signed and numbered by the artist, Lauren Marx. Each print is a limited edition series of 300, so when they are gone, they are gone forever.

Prints are packaged in a clear plastic sleeve and gently rolled into a heavy-duty, recyclable cardboard tube for shipping.

Each design is drawn and painted entirely by hand and reflects her signature blend of beauty and the macabre.
Shipping & Returns
We ship all orders within two weeks, though our small team strives to fulfill your order much sooner than that!
Domestic USA Orders:
We'll cover the cost of shipping your order to any U.S. address (including Alaska and Hawaii) when you spend $120 or more.
All domestic USA orders ship with USPS and tracking numbers are provided. Shipping Times:1-4 weeks within the continental United States.
International Orders:
International orders shipped with DHL, which handles package delivery up to the destination country's border, where the host postal service takes over. That means tracking info may not be up to date once it reaches the customers destination country, as some countries do not update travel information in the DHL system where the tracking number originated.
Shipping Times: 2 weeks - 5 months for international orders depending on the country (Though most arrive in less than 2 weeks)
Refunds/Exchanges: Refunds may be granted for merchandise only in the event of lost packages, damaged merchandise, or shop error. No shipping charge refunds. Funds paid for shipping are remitted to the carrier for delivery services and not eligible for refunds by our shop. 
Exchanges are not allowed under any circumstances. 
Please note that prints are limited edition and signed by the artist. They often sell out, which means that in the event of damage or loss, a replacement print may not be available.
