In American Raven, an albino American raven is set in stark black background, a whitetail deer antler held in its beak as it grips shagbark hickory branches mid-flight. Male io moths drift alongside, their distinct markings adding small flashes of pattern and contrast against the darkness.
The composition draws from John James Audubon’s American Raven, echoing its structure while shifting the mood into something quieter and more surreal. Natural elements are still central, but they’re arranged in a way that feels slightly offbeat familiar at first glance, then gradually more symbolic the longer you sit with it.
Each high-quality print includes a 1 inch white border around the image, and is signed and numbered by the artist, Lauren Marx. These prints are a limited edition series of 300, so when they are gone, they are gone forever.
